Bromhexine MCC 8 mg

Composition:

8 mg of bromhexine chloride, excipients for a tablet.

Pharmacological properties:

Bromhexine disintegrates the mucopolysaccharide fibres in the sputum, decreases the viscosity of the sputum and facilitates expectoration of the bronchial mucus.

Indications:

  • Acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory tract associated with cough and expectoration of viscous mucus: acute tracheal-bronchitis, pneumonia, chronic bronchitis, asthma.

Contraindications:

  • Hypersensitivity to the drug
  • Emphysema with severe hyperinflation
  • Cardiac insufficiency

Side effects:

Rare gastrointestinal disorders.

Treatment and dosage:

Adults and children over 10 years old: 3 x 1-2 tablets daily

Children less than 10 years old: 2 to 4 x 1/2 tablet

Storage:

Keep away from humidity, heat andlight.

Validity:

2 years from manufacturing date.
